Jennifer Winick's culinary career began in 1996. Originally trained at the Natural Gourmet Cookery School in NYC, she has since acquired a wide range of experiences and perspectives that influence and inspire her cooking and culinary classes.
She has enjoyed work as a baker and chef, and additionally as a personal cook, caterer, culinary instructor and
consultant. Along with these experiences, she is a Reiki Master Teacher and incorporates an understanding of the energetic aspects of food and health to her culinary work. Jennifer also has a MA in Anthropology from the University of Massachusetts, where she specialized in the cultural aspects of food and diet.
Interested in sharing the vibrancy of ethnic cuisine, the wisdom of folk foodways, and the alchemy of food and creative living with others, Jennifer established For The Health Of It in the Spring of 2002. To all of the services offered, Jennifer brings a creative flair for integrating philosophy and technique in her cooking and menu planning.
